Civet peeking at us through thick vegetation, yet Ron still managed to spot it.

Large centipede (Scolopendra?) juicing up a slug.

Scutigeridae. We saw another one gracefully running along the road, the first time I had a good look at one of these house centipedes on the move.

Cricket spoted by Zestin. This one seemed to have crashed an unfortunate spider's home and appears to be either eating the spider or scavenging the insect carcasses in the spider's web.

Very well camouflaged Pandercetes huntsman.

A mygalomorph spider out in the open. Looks like Barychelidae (or Nemesiidae) from the short spinnerets. Barychelids can look very similar to Nemesiidae but Singapore has only one recorded Nemesid, Damarchus workmani (photo by Nicky Bay) which does not look too similar to this. There are 3 barychelids recorded in Singapore, Idioctis littoralis, Rhianodes atratus, and Sipalolasma aedificatrix and I have absolutely no idea which one this spider might be.

Lychas scutilus, on a granite wall.

A moth that looked like a cockroach or a hopper.

Hawk (sphinx) moth (Sphingidae).

Earwig, maybe 13 mm long.

Odontomachus trapjaw ant.
