110909 Lornie trail

Was hoping to see some vertebrates but no luck. Heard some single barks though, not sure if it was a dog or deer.



Fascinating pink cricket (erythrism?).


Really tiny Scutigeridae centipede. It only had 7 leg pairs (molted two times only).


Saw a couple of these Opiliones in the leaf litter.


Tiny but adult cockroach.


Mantis doing some yoga cleaning.


Bird shit weevil.


Zhsteve spotted this longicorn. Looks like Epepeotes luscus. Not sure why it was so still with its mouth in a frothing droplet.


Bug sipping sap from the open base of two severed buds.



A couple of moths.


Tiny spider on the ground.



Quite a lot of Odontomachus trap-jaw ants running along beside the path.


Saw a mud trail along a tree trunk, but it seemed to be ants rather than termites.


Polyrhachis ant carry something, looks like a silk cocoon.
