110723 MacRitchie Lornie trail

This trail cuts through a small patch of primary forest. According to Ron, one indication of primary forest is the presence of forest giants, dipterocarps, whose seeds have evolved to penetrate the plant growth to reach the ground (as these forest giants are very tall after all), mainly by spinning down, rather than dispersal. All vertebrates spotted by Ron.
