Nangka trail again, this time going in deeper into Durian Loop.

I can never get a full shot of the extremely long antenniform forelegs of these Amblypygi.

Tiny Phlogiellus inermis tarantula, only about 4 mm long but already plagued by mites.

Ctenid spider stalking a grouse locust (Tetrigidae).

IMG_6621s
These ctenids seem pretty aggressive, even with its mouth full of Tetrigidae, it appeared to have made a spirited attempt to fend off my lens by leaping at it when I accidentally got too close.

This suspected sac spider actually landed on Nicky's hand, but (un)fortunately we did not get a first hand record of how painful the bit is.

Our mystery sparassid.

A very similar looking one, but perhaps different species.

Yet another sparassid, with a white band across its back.

This small orb weaver builds its web about ankle high in grass.

Nicky spotted this Cryptothele sundaica ground spider. My second time seeing this very well camouflaged spider.

Hidden danger.

A couple of assassin bugs (Reduviidae).

Thread legged bug, also Reduviidae, in Emesinae subfamily.

Stick insect, looks like Presbitus peleus. Hastily stitched from 5 photos.

IMG_6479s
Strange fly, about 6 mm long, at about ankle high at base of a tree. At first, I thought there was only one, then I noticed a smaller one on my diffuser.
