No idea about this, either the brown zoanthids are winning or they're being invaded by the blue ones.

The Fungiidae were huge.

Acanthozoon sp. must be the most commonly sighted flatworm on our shores.

Pegasus volitans. I only recently discovered they walk using their pelvic fins after watching Andy's video.

Enhalus acoroides flower.


Enhalus acoroides fruit. They resemble, as Dr Dan put it, Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors.

Debby spotted this beautiful scorpionfish. It's been quite a while since I last had a good look at one.

There were many of these mysterious lumps on the beach.

A stringy egg sac.

One of the Duke students spotted this Architectonica perspiectiva. It seemed to secrete some slime which showed up blue in the photo.
