Pulau Ubin - Fiddler fetish.

Well my main objective was to bring back photos of fiddlers and so I did, even if they weren't the fiddlers I was looking for.

Ixora.

Caterpillar disguised as dropping.

Golden orb weaver with tiny red spiders. No idea if they are the male, young or kleptoparasites (probably parasites).

Ant mimic spider.

Digger wasp. Insanely difficult to get decent photos of.

Common aquatic moths (Eristena mangalis) congregate under a leaf (thanks for the ID Peiyen!).

Antlion larva jaws, with victim.

Sand bubbler crab. It's mind-blowing the amount of work they do for their food. Each pellet of sand is a byproduct of their feeding process (sifting microscopic particles in the sand).

The fiddler crabs :

And the really tiny fiddler crabs :

The mudskippers were taunting me by raising their dorsal fins only when my camera wasn't trained on them. This fellow was probably just slow on the uptake.

Group photo.

Fairly large mudskipper next to a regular sized one.

Attap/Nipa inflorescence of female flowers at the tip and male flowers on the lower branches.

Belongkeng snail (Ellobium sp). There were a few but I didn't check if they were live snails or just empty shells.

Hi! Thanks for showing the moths to my brother, else I wouldn't have seen them either.
