Pulau Ubin - With the NHC.

I decided to join the NHC Chek Jawa guided walk today and learned some new things I never knew about Ubin, very interesting. Kok Sheng also kindly showed me the shore that was at the end of the sensory trail and the location of the colorful fiddler crabs along the mangrove boardwalk.


Humans claim to be the smartest creatures on earth, yet most lead lives that are crap compared to this individual.


This spider seems to be quite commonly found everywhere, not just at Ubin.


Marcus showed me this relatively large orb weaver.


Nice obedient grasshopper that gamely posed for some shots.

Looks like one of those caterpillar or spider collecting wasp.


Would be nice to see gumdrops modeled after this.




Really huge and very still monitor lizard, about 2m long. Me being focused too much on finding tiny things would have walked right past it if not for Kok Sheng's warning.
