Sunrise along the way.
Along the road :

Bee on Petai jawa (Leucaena leucocephala) flower?

A termite horde on the road. Looks like Black Macrotermes (Macrotermes carbonarius).

Grasshoppers about to get it on.
At the man-made beach :

Looks like a special Gong-gong.

Laganum sand dollar (Laganum depressum).

Pink moon snail. There were some tiger and oval moon snails as well.

Dubious on a dubious, which goes to show how small some of them can be.

Mudskipper. They seem less afraid when I approach them while squatting down.

"Boring Bob".

A neatly drilled countersunk hole, probably courtesy of a moon snail.

Sundial snail shell.

A lost Nerite industriously making its way back to the rock wall.
The other beaches :

Frilly anemones. Quite a few of them.

Giant carpet anemone (Stichodactyla gigantea). Despite being stranded, it had collected a pool of water in its tentacles and seemed to be happily feeding away while waiting for the returning tide.
Quite a variety of coral :

Zebra coral.

Leathery coral.

Favid corals.

Unknown corals.

Cowrie shells.

Cone shell. These shells seem to wash up on quite a lot of our southern island beaches.

Zoanthids.

Some sort of Turban snail.

An extremely shy octopus. Only revealed one arm after minutes of waiting.

Snapping shrimp. About 8-10cm long.

Painted scorpion fish. Terrible shot as the tide was coming in. 10 seconds later it was completely hidden in muck.

Saw two of these Black long sea cucumbers (Holothuria leucospilota).

Monitor lizard. It didn't seem afraid at all of approaching humans.

Lee Qi spotted this Black-margined nudibranch (Glossodoris atromarginata) while we were heading back.

Nice beach.
